4.0 control
The fabricating or process ing vendor(prime source) is responsible for the quality of all material making up the

finish part whether compounded by him or purchased from a material supplier(secondary source). the material supplier

shall not ship material whose composition,characteristic,or propertes differ from samplers submitted to and approved

by DaimlerChrysler Material Engineering.
All plastic shall be specified on the part drawing by a Material Standard and a DaimlerChrysler Plastic

Number(CPN),as published in the DaimlerChrysler Plastic Number Index.
in order to prevent paint catering or paint distortion on parts and bodies painted at DaimlerChrysler production

pla,it shall be mandatory that no surface contamination of silicone or "silicone-like"mold lubricants or parting

agents be present on supplied parts conforming to this standard. DaimlerChrysler Labolatory Procedure 463PB-13-01

shall be the test procedure used in determining conformance to this requirement.
5.0general information

correspond to Safety,Emission,Homologation Shields respetively.Only one Regulatory requirement is allowed on a

standard.the DCC-mandated requirements are designated by <D>,<A>and/or<X> and correspond to the Diamond,Appearance

and Traceability symboles respectively.
