Ph.D. Currently Director of the Division for the Promotion of Quality Education at UNESCO,Paris, where she oversees education for sustainable development, education for peace and human rights, education in response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic, health education, and physical education and sport. Extensive experience in quality education for girls and women in the developing world, with multi-lateral, bi-lateral, and private voluntary development agencies, as well as national governments. Educated in Botswana and Zimbabwe, she earned her doctoral degree in education in the United States. Dr. Pigozzi has been on the faculties of Indiana University and Michigan State University.
