see..hear. 等感官动词后面可以接原形，也可以加动词ing形式表示看见动作的全过程。just now 是：刚才，的意思，那么说就应该用过去式。我过去看见你做了什么事。自然用see sb doing sth.
至于你编的那句就不对了可以把后面的当作成句，也就是说，省略that 的从句，原句也就应该是“i saw (that)you were fighting on the side of the birds just now.改成从句的话就可以
你自己错了，see是感官动词，后面跟动词时一般用ing形式，表示该动作正在进行
