on 表示在...上，一般有接触 如：There's an apple on the table. apple 与 table 有接触
above 表示腾空 如：A plane is flying above us. plane腾空在us上。另外还可以表示“上文”，如：in the above paragraph 在上一段
above的反义词below，on的反义词under。 每一对的用法都是相同的。
in hospital 表示住院（一定是生病了）in the hospital 表示在医院（不一定生病，可以是在医院工作或到医院去看人）

on表示在一物体上，强调两物相接触
above可以用来表示“高于”，相当于“higher than”,如果指上下垂直的度量以及海拔高度时，要用above,above表示位置高于某人或某物。但不一定是正上方，反义词是below.

below一般用于较抽象意义上的，如
He was below her in intelligence.
他的智力比她差。
而under一般指方位上的下面

above,below一般用在水平线,大范围的方面,譬如:这山在水平线以下.而on,under多用在身边的事物上,如橡皮在桌子上,都用on.
