1)a lot像副词一样用,修饰动词.而a lot of像many,much等形容词一样用,修饰名词(可数不可数都可以).
如:
I always eat a lot.
I have a lot of money/toys.
when和while都可以表示当...时,而when一般用在短暂的动作前,while用在持续时间较长的动作前(一般是进行时).
如:
when I came in
while I was eating
此外while作连词时还可以表示"然而..."的意思,when就不可以了.

2)President Bush.英语中修饰人身份的词放在人名的前面.如Mr Lee.
