西方婚约誓词并没有十八种之多，常用的只有三种。

　　第一类(传统的)
　　(全名)，你愿意娶这位女人做你的妻子吗?
　　回答：我愿意。
　　(全名)，你愿意嫁给这位男人做你的丈夫吗?
　　回答：我愿意。

　　第二类(个人的)
　　(全名)，你愿意(全名)做你的妻子吗?
　　回答：我愿意。
　　(全名)，你愿意(全名)做你的丈夫吗?
　　回答：我愿意。

　　第三类(改良的)
　　(全名)，你愿意娶(全名)作为你的妻子吗，与她在神圣的婚约中共同生活?无论是疾病或健康、贫穷或富裕、美貌或失色、顺利或失意，你都愿意爱她、安慰她、尊敬她、保护她?并愿意在你们一生之中对她永远忠心不变?
　　回答：我愿意。
