呢首诗唔系泰戈尔写的！《羊城晚报》就曾经为它的作者做过调查研究，最后发现呢首诗第一段系香港才女张小娴写的，在泰氏出版的诗集里从来没有这首诗！
首先是一个同学引用了张小娴小说里的名句做签名档，这个签名档就是这首合体诗的第一段：

一个女孩子平常就喜欢互相吐嘈，再加上当时个人的爱情经验对这样子的文字蛮有感觉的，当时也是跟相爱的人无法在一起，所以就回了下面这样子的一句话：

而是 明明知道彼此相爱
却不能在一起

接著是一个当时在苦恋一个女孩子的同学，看到这一段文字，觉得跟他的境遇相比，实在是不算什麼，所以他也回了下面这一句话：
