this is what I got from the Chinese embassy on a marriageability
certificate it says I can get one in china, because things not work the
same here and I have moved 4 times in the past 10 years I cant find
where to get one
_a "certification of marriageability" which can be prepared at the
Embassy on the basis of an affidavit in which the American citizen
swears or affirms before a Consul that he or she is currently legally
eligible to marry Please be aware that both the American citizen and
his/her Chinese financee are required to appear in person at the Embassy
for the above said marriageability certificate._

这是我从中国大使馆领到的一张《准婚证》，上面说我可以在中国找个对象，因为这里的情况和美国不大一样。我在过去的10年见搬迁4次，还不知道该到哪里去找到一个合适对象。
对于一个美国人，他（她）的美国法庭宣誓书上得注明已达到法定婚龄，那是他（她）在中国领取《准婚证》的起码条件。在中国使馆领取《准婚证》时，美方以及他/她的中国对象务必一起到场。
应该是fiancee, 未婚妻
