在美国，“上厕所”不是这样说的，是问“你们的厕所在哪？”(Where is your bathroom?如果是对旁人说这个，就说:I will be right back. 人家就知道你要上哪去了。当然，你也可明说：I need to go to bathroom. 或 I need to wash my hands.

如果你要文雅，就不说bathroom，用washroom.

好象在美国还没有看到只有小便没有大便的厕所，所以没有“上大号”和“小号”之分。

平时小便I gotta pee,口语化
正统pumpship小便

我的老外同事说pee-pee小便
poo-poo大便

比较正式的场合,一般说" I need to go to the ladies' room/gents
平时就说"I need to go to the bathroom."
美国人说话很含蓄,就说上厕所,不具体报告“我要上大号”和“我要上小号”
小朋友一般情况下也和大人说得一样,碰到有紧急状态,就会说"I need to go to the bathroom. This is an emergency."偶尔听个别人说"I need to pee."如果有人说,"I need to go to the bathroom. My stomach hurts."那你就明白他是要"上大号"还是"上小号"了.
另一个表现美国人含蓄的地方或可说是很顾及人的感受的说法有,如果有小朋友尿裤子,也只是说 Dave has an accident."

I need to use the bathroom.全部涵盖.
I need to go to the bathroom.全部涵盖.
I need to use the lady's room.我要用女洗手间.
I need to use the man's room.我要用男洗手间.
I need to use the little boy's room.我要用小男孩的洗手间.(一般对小孩子说,大人说起来有打趣的意思)
I need to use the little girl's room.我要用小女孩的洗手间(一般对小孩子说,女人一般不这么说.)

平时说就用上面的任何一种.
西餐厅用:
Excuse me, could you show me where is your bathroom?
Excuse me, could you show me where is your lady's room?
Excuse me, could you show me where is your man's room?
以上都是对服务生说的.
Excuse me, I need to use the bathroom.
对一同进餐的人说的.

我要上大号”和“我要上小号"
一般不会和普通人说清楚.如果和家人或者非常非常熟悉的人说,就说
Got to go take No. 1.
Got to go take No. 2.
Got to pee.(1)
...
如MARYSWALLOW说的,如果你闹肚子就说
My stomach hurts, got to go.

小孩子说,大人不这么说的:
一号-PEE PEE
二号-POO POO
