为什么选that而不选where呢？ 如果写成This is the place where I have ever seen 对吗？为什么呢？请详细讲解点好吗？

一、此题的空格处应填空 that，不能填 where，因为：定语从句中的谓语动词 see 为及物动词，在此它的逻辑宾语就是 the most beautiful place，所以要用关系代词 that 来引导(当然也可省略不用)，因为只有关系代词能作主语或宾语，而关系副词 where 只能用作状语。
二、说 This is the place where I have ever seen 不对，应将 where 改为 that(当然也可省略不用)，道理同上。

where指一片区域，that用来指代“这个地方”，是see的宾语。
这句话换过来说是：“I have never seen a place more beautiful than this one.”

where指地点，“就在这里”,在句中做状语。如：
This is the place where I met her for the first time.

不对
因为后面那个定语从句中动词see是及物动词也就是说必须加宾语，而that（或which)就作了see的宾语，选where的话句子成分就不全了呀，可是这个定语从句修饰的名词place前面有最高级修饰，这是不能用which而只能选that

这种定语从句的前面如果有最高级的话，一定是用that而不能用where.如果把最高级去掉就是对的了。不过意思上是肯定不对的，哈哈。

因为是做宾语，I have ever seen （the palace）.而不是状语，所以不用where.如果题目是

就选用where!

要是先行词是指人的 话
那就只能用who 了
