Abstract

Recently, with Dec 2006, when China should open its finance industry to the world as promised, is approaching, its step of financial reform is accelerating. Banking sector is undoubtedly the most important part of the reform as it's the kernel of the finance system.

To meet the require of international competition, China's banking sector is reforming by various methods. Among them, the reform on commercial banks' share system signifies the most. This article focuses on the characteristic and possible influence of the reform on the share system, so as to gain some rational conclusion.

Firstly, we will summarize the actual state of such research, and put out the question of the article.

Secondly, we will discuss china's reform of shares in separately three phases.
Thirdly, by analyzing the situation of China, we will discuss the two sinitic traits of the reform.

Fourthly, we conclude that the reform will have four major influences.
Fifthly, we will make a further discussion about the five major problems that the reform is facing.

In the end of the article, we will make a forecast about what strategy the commercial banks may take after the reform in two mainstream attitudes.

In conclusion, the reform should keep going as its benefits exceed the harm it may bring us.
