The main purpose of education
Hello, everyone. Our topic is about the main purpose of education. First, I’ll give you my opinion: I think both sides should be developed. I just want to say: Education and personality varies from each other.
You must still remember the text we’ve learnt about human intelligence. There is a sentence in the text that still firmly remembered:“But there are many roles in society in which it is not important that a person have a high intelligence in language and logic so long as he or she can function at a basic level in these domains.”My translation is as follows:“但是在社会上有着不同的角色，只要你能再某一/某些领域发挥作用，你是否拥有强的语言和逻辑能力并不重要。”
Our current education is test-oriented which aims to help students achieve academic success. It disgusts students buried in books. Some complained that it made a vast number of students become high in score, while low in ability. This can’t blend in society.
So many students and educators take the side of quality education. It is really true that skills are of great significance.
However, to scientists and other people who are absorbed in researching, knowledge study may be better to them.
This can be concluded by Confucius’ words:“因材施教。”
