意思就是选项如下：

主语是item（s），be动词要和他一致，follows是和主语单复一致的宾语。所以，应该选第一个，s，are

selected -- 已被选中/选择的 -- 形容词
the selected items -- 已被选中的事项 -- 主语
are -- 系动词
as follows -- 如下 -- 表语

应该是the selected items are as follows
用items而不用item是因为"follows"已经暗示我们主语应该是复数。

如果是“选项如下”，应该为：the items to be selected are as follows或者the items for selection are as follows
