自考的书上有一句 ....the great writers of the day ? （那个代时最伟大的作家们）
这里的day能不能用age，为什么？
这里的day能不能用age，为什么？
of that age那个年龄的;-
of the day的意思是这个时代的/当代的
the day=present time
age 作时代解释时为不可数名词
而day作时代解多用复数形式
of the day常表示“当代的”
day比较口语化而age较书面化
把the改成that就可以用age了.这里只能用day,是习惯用法.小弟是英语专业的
