on , above, over都有"在,,,上", "高于"的意思.

表示一般"在上" 用above
表示比较精确地靠近地"垂直在上", 用over.

1.比如

His office is above ours on the second floor.
(他的办公室在我们的二楼).
注意, 说话的人很可能在地下一层或者二层, 只是表达, 那个人的办公室在他们的上面,不一定恰好在他们上面.

The summit of that mountain is 8800 meters above
sea-level.(那座山峰海拔8800米高).
注意,,,只是表示海拔, 不表示垂直于,,,上.

His office is right over ours.(他的办公室就在我们头上的房间). 注意,,,是垂直在上.

2. 仅仅表示上下次序用above, 有蒙起来或者遍及全面的含义时用over.
比如:
put this book above the other one.(把这本书放在那本书的上面).
spread the tablecloth over the table(把桌布铺在桌上).
The sun rose above the horizon.(太阳升到地平线上)
The sun shone over the valley.(太阳普照山谷)

on:表示"某物在某上", 而且和放东西的表面有接触
并有附着的意思

比如:
the book is on the table.(书在桌上)
a blister on the sole of my foot(脚底上的水泡)

below 和under 都有"在,,,,下面"的意思

below: 指某物比相对物处于任何较低的位置, 其反意词
是above.

under: 指某物垂直在另一物的下方, 也可指被覆盖, 其
反义是over.

通俗地讲, below 表示低于， under则有”垂直在下”
的意思

比如：

that part of the country is below sea level
(国土的那一部分低于海平面）
We rested under a big tree(我们在一棵大树下休息）

on 在上面与物体有接触,如，The anple is on the desk.over 在正上方与物体不接触，如The sky is over our heads."above"指比另一物体高，不一定在正上方。如The birds are flying above our heads.
under在正下方如:The dog is under the desk.below指比另一物体低，不一定在正下方。如:The tree is below the house.
