我记得这是英语课文里的一个句子，你的时态用错了，应该是：
The finger I had dipped into the cup was not the one I put into my mouth.
那个做实验的教授是先把手指放进杯子，然后再放进嘴里的。所以put是过去时，而dip要用过去完成时。

"...i had dipped..."吧
这好象是高中英语课本上的一篇文章里的吧?
