很难讲。
介词是英语里用得最活的一类词
不可能靠在这里的三言两语讲清楚的。
仅仅靠书本的话，你只能学会搭配，那些都是死的，但是一种语言它是活的，要慢慢的培养语感（当然是多听多读），然后这些介词的用法你就会无师自通了：）

我只列举一些普通用法吧，记住这些就差不多了，完全原创的说~~~

of 1）.....的
e.g.:This is a book of mine.这是我的书
2）类似“这样”,强调对象
e.g.:It's very kind of you to help me.你这样帮我真好人。

for 1）给
e.g.:This book is for you.这本书是给你的。
2）对于
e.g.:Drinking is bad for your health.喝酒对你的身体不好。
3）固定搭配
buy sth. for sb.
thank sb.for sth.
4)因为
e.g.:You will be punished for your terrible behavior.你会因你糟糕表现而受到惩罚。

to 1）去
e.g.:Let's go to the park.
2)向
This road leads to the countryside.这条马路通向农村。
3）不定式
To be or not to be, this is a question.
4）固定搭配
to one's surprise
e.g.:To my surprise,she passed the exam.使我惊讶的是，她通过了测验。
ask sb. to do sth.
advice sb. to do sth.

from 1)来自
e.g.:I'm from Shenzhen.我来自深圳。
=I come from shenzhen.
2)从......
e.g.:You can get experience from your failure.你能从你的失败中获取经验。

by 1)由
e.g.:The novel is written by me.这本小说是由我写的。
2）坐
e.g.:I went there by train.我坐火车去的。
