这两句话有无语法错误？

Because the people who are better than me are plenty more.

Because people are better than me are plenty more.
而且在纠正一个问题，第一句话不能那么说。
英语里不能说I hope that we……,逻辑不通，你一个人怎么能说我们怎样怎样呢？
